Inverness

Kenilworth Castle
Medieval Castle ruins in the Midlands. Connections to Henry V, War of the Roses and Elizabeth I's favourite. Visited by Shakespeare as a child.
Warwick Castle
Medieval Castle. Former seat of the Earls of Warwick. One time home of Richard III.
Dover Castle
Fortress on England's Southeast Coast, 'The Gateway to England'.
Urquhart Castle & Loch Ness
Medieval Castle ruin in Northern Scotland, standing proudly on the bank of Loch Ness.
Portsmouth
Port city and naval base in Southern England. Home to retired ships that made history.
Pembroke Castle
Welsh town, birthplace of Henry Tudor, aka Henry VII.
Stirling
Scottish town, 'The Gateway to Highlands'.
Lincoln
City in East Midlands. Houses one of four copies of Magna Carta.
Fountains Abbey
Ruins of Cistercian monastery in Ripon, Yorkshire.
Leicester
Place of discovery & reinterment of Richard III.
Windsor Castle
The largest and oldest castle still in use. Houses Royal Archives. Home of George III and Queen Charlotte.
Culloden Moor
A site of 1746 battle.
Hastings & Pevensey
Towns on England's Southeast Coast, famous for the Norman Invasion & Battle in 1066.
Linlithgow Palace
Birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots and James V of Scotland.
Gainsborough Old Hall
Country House in Lincolnshire, visited by both Richard III & Henry VIII. Temporary sanctuary for the Mayflower Pilgrims. Read more here.
